there are reasons why people HAVE to book, or wait for their table at Ying Chow, is its extremely delcious!! I had the usual BBC, Salt & Pepper Tofu...and tried some new ones, something Tea Duck, and Crocodile with snowpeas, and Vegetable Hotpot...SO GOOD!! $18 pp between 5 of us + tea & byo costs....

Press club is one of the coolest places to check out Jazz on a Wednesday night. I saw Ingrid James singing here, it was great to chill out and listen & have a glass of wine.

Ok, Emporium Hotel has just opened, and what a beautiful bar it has! lovely large red velvetly chairs made for chatting & sipping bubbly or cocktails. Surrounded by beautiful designs everywhere you look, and the colours are bold & striking. Look out Brisbane, we have something different...Can't wait for the restaurant to open.

Maggie Blacks is a fantastic venue for functions, Sat night was great, saw Midnight Syndicate & drank cocktails with the girls. I am loving the live jazz, what a perfect way to spend a Saturday night.

Loved this place, had a bunch of mates come here on a saturday "lunch"...which ended up being an afternoon/evening session. Loved the food & the wine (Great Shiraz) the service which was friendly and down to earth. We all shared the massive platters to begin! quality antipasto, cheese, fish, marinated chicken pieces, cured meats, olives..all the good stuff.

The Fox is the place a lot of people end up after being in the west end (or Uber), and its pretty funky place! Big on the functions & you can see why, it has a lot of space to move around, and lose people if you need too. We basically took over the dance floor, they had some great live singers.
Loved the chips & Calamari I ate in my drunken state...:)

Came her for a quick bite to eat with some mates from interstate, loved the fit out, great service. Fabulous House Red! I had the pumpkin & rocket salad (tiny bit too much oil), everyone else was pretty impressed with their meals. Nice Eye fillet, and big thumbs up for the Newmarket Parmy. We didn't have too much time to hang around, but We will be back for drinks...Impressed so far.

Came here with a girlfriend and decided to randomly play Putt Putt. How much fun!! We were laughing ourselves silly. I lost!...It was great! Fantastic landscaped course, great thing to do on a Saturday or Sunday when you have a spare couple of hours with some mates.Its $15 each, and keeps you amused for a while (take some beers around with you, you might get better). Afterwards have a drink in the Putters lounge or in the Caddy Shack. Love it.

Ok, if you want great views, great service with personality, great atmosphere & the best steak & crab in town - This is it! Came here with my family & enjoyed some fantastic mixed oysters to start & rib fillet & king prawns for main. We all loved the casual, but professional service, winning combo.
Pretty busy for a Tuesday night! I would definately book ahead for the weekends... I am coming back for the Chilli Crab, and my partner wants to challenge himself with the 1kg steak (maddness)

Came here for my birthday on the 1st of May with a large group of people, Robbie (the manager) had helped me put together my own custom menu of vietnamese food, and it worked out to be only $28 per head for everything that i wanted.
They even helped me cater for my vego mates!
I had the best time ever, surrounded by great mates, great food, and the evening went off without a hitch. The food was fresh, the timing was perfect, service spot on for a function of chatty people. Everyone loved the food! Fresh, tasty & light! Robbie even treated me to a cocktail. I will definately be recommending this place for functions to friends in the future. Very central location.
