The Adventures of Tintin 3D

Spielberg directed war-drama, based on a children's novel, about a young fellow who sets out on a journey to rescue his horse from the battlefields of World War I. Benjamin Mee (Damon), an animal behaviour specialist, is a single father needing a fresh start. Using his life savings, he buys a dilapidated zoo in the countryside replete with 200 exotic animals (including Siberian tigers, African lions, wolves and brown bears), and moves his family in. With the help of an eclectric staff, the Mees attempt to return the zoo to its former glory.

Mavis (Charlize Theron, Monster) is a cynical, successful writer of teenage fiction who returns to her small home town to win back her high school crush: Buddy (Patrick Wilson, Insidious), now happily married and with kids. Buddy isn't particularly willing though, and having been roundly despised at school, Mavis doesn't find support with her old chums and the plans go awry. But she manages to get assistance from one former classmate (Patton Oswalt, The Informant!) who hasn't quite gotten over his high school years either.
