TaikOz returns for one thundering performance, 21 February

After a sell-out concert at the 2009 OzAsia Festival, audiences can again feel the might of drumming sensation TaikOz, in one performance only on Sunday 21 February at Elder Hall, as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

TaikOz is a musical tour-de-force at the forefront of contemporary music in Australia today. Best known for blending East and West, and old and new, the group returns to wow Adelaide audiences once again.

TaikOz will perform several of its ‘classic’ numbers, including the dynamic Tribute To Miyake, the epic the peals of thunder and Resounding Bell, a work that features Riley Lee’s shakuhachi accompanied by delicate percussion and voice.

Now in its 12th year, the group’s passionate dedication to blending traditional taiko practice with contemporary Australian and Japanese compositions results in a spectacular performance of physical prowess and heart thumping sound.
