Noted English conductor Nicholas Braithwaite, a long time favourite of Brisbane audiences, returns to the Conservatorium in 2008. His expertise in English music will be seen in Finzis The Fall of the Leaf and the monumental Enigma Variations by Elgar. Also on this program will be featured student soloist Adam Herd in the Piano Concerto in G Major, one of Ravels most brilliant and popular works. In recognition of 75th birthday, we honour the eminent Queensland based composer Colin Brumby in a performance of his tone poem Paean.
