Sandgate’s Community Celebration -- Wear the Einbunpin Grin! Local bands, street performers and community group stalls all feature prominently at this year’s Sandgate Einbunpin Festival on Sunday 27 July. An annual event, the Einbunpin Festival is a celebration of those things that make the area special – the strong sense of community, the seaside village atmosphere and the local environment. It also provides an opportunity to showcase the local artistic talent. Festival Chairperson Cr Victoria Newton said the Festival has continued to grow in strength from year to year. In addition to the stalls and the entertainment from bands and other performers, attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in events like the Mullet Tossing Competition (note – they’re not real mullets!). And there’ll be some new events on this year’s program. Come along and join in the celebrations as the Einbunpin Lagoon parklands come alive with activity.
**NOTE: Lagoon Street Sandgate will be closed as part of the Festival on Sunday 27th July between 6am and 6pm.
