On this sacred day the Manly Harbour Festival encourages all Australians to salute and celebrate the ubiquitous Fish & Chip as the cornerstone of Australian Cuisine, from its most humble to its most refined. Manly’s restaurants will celebrate the day each in their own way with a fish & chip treat created especially for the occasion – using fresh Moreton Bay seafood. Wilsons Boathouse Blessing of the Fleet and Squid Sizzle

Celebrate the start of spring and the sailing season with the ‘other’ Blessing of the Fleet ceremony. Up to one hundred or more yachts and boats of all shapes and sizes will sail past the public viewing point in Manly Harbour with colours flying to take a public salute before the official blessing of the fleet. Guest celebrity commentators will describe the boats and their colourful histories while brass bands and plenty of barbecued squid will be on hand to complete the ‘galah’ sense of occasion.
Port of Brisbane Harbourside Swing Concert

A concert not to be missed! Manly Harbour swings to the sensational sounds of Brisbane’s top stage brass bands. Featuring Brisbane Brass conducted by Greg Aitken and BSB Swing conducted by Paulo Felix-Almeida in a concert that’s all about swing. You know the songs so bring a picnic and sing and swing along.
This concert is supported by Brisbane City Council.

Relax by the harbour and browse the myriad of market stalls ranging from plants, produce and clothing to arts and crafts and food. This special festival market is not your average trash and treasure so bring the family along, enjoy the bayside location and pick-up some great bargains.
Festival Fun Paddle
Registration at Wynnum Creek 11am; Paddle Start 1pm
$10 Entry per craft - register on the day
A fun paddle for leisure paddlers of all interests and abilities. The event is open to paddle craft of different styles - with one proviso - they must be person powered! Starting off from Wynnum Creek, the paddle ends up at Rose Bay (Manly) where just across the Park; the Festival Markets will be in full swing. Over $1000 in prizes to be won. Brisbane City Council Fathers Day Brass & Breakfast Concert
Little Bayside Park
10.00 am to 12.00 noon - FREE
Especially for Father’s Day this brass band concert features Australian champions Brisbane Excelsior conducted by Howard Taylor and the Queensland Wind and Brass conducted by Paul Kucharski which will be joined by the Celtic Precision Marching Girls. In case this not enough of a musical breakfast treat – look out for the Queensland Highlanders and dancers who will complete the festive program.

QUEST Festival Finale Concert
Little Bayside Park
2.00 pm - FREE
Celebrate the season and bask in an afternoon of fine entertainment. The concert will include stage bands and street theatre performers from four local High Schools in a monster Sunday afternoon program of music and mayhem for the whole family. A fitting musical finale to the first of many Harbour Festivals to come.
