charming ballet story for the whole family, based on a legendary tale filled with adventure. Don Quixote, an eccentric noble gentleman, spends his time reading and fantasising about tales of chivalry. Proclaiming himself a knight, he takes up his lance and sword to defend the helpless and destroy the wicked. He is accompanied by his trusty squire, Sancho Panza.

Through his adventures he encounters street dancers, the beautiful and fiery Kitri, her young (but poor) lover Basilio, a tribe of wild gypsies, toreadors and other amusing characters.

In his quest to right all wrongs Don Quixote mistakes inns for castles and windmills for giants. A secret lovers tryst, visions and dreams, and a celebratory wedding add excitement to this fun adventure.

Don Quixote is one of the greatest comedic ballets of all time. Join Queensland's premier youth ballet company 'Ballet Theatre of Queensland' for this classic performance, full of colourful characters.


It is a must for children as well as lovers of the classics.
