Sensational French-Cypriot pianist Cyprien Katsaris makes his long awaited Medici Concerts debut in the 2008 series. He has played with the worlds top orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Dresden Orchestra, the Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestra and worked with leading conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Kurt Masur, Bernstein, Dutoit and others. His extensive discography for EMI, Decca and Deutsche Grammophon has seen him record many award winning discs including Record of the Year for his much praised Beethoven/Liszt Ninth Symphony transcription record. He is one of the Worlds greatest virtuoso pianists and his magnificent programme will showcase his astonishing technical brilliance.
