Southern Cross Soloists first toured with guitar legend Slava Grigoryan in 2006 and the continuing bond of admiration and friendship between all seven players has recently been celebrated in a joint CD recording for ABC Classics. This concert (and ensuing national tour) will coinside with the release of this CD and provide an opportunity to explore some great new repertoire. Exquisite songs by Downland, Granados and Rodrigo, a new work by our Composer in Focus, James Ledger, and a new arrangement of Chabriers lively Spanish rhapsody Espana will provide the players with plenty of scope to do what they do best make brilliant music!
