A ballet for children of all ages by Francois Klaus.
The magician Hammamelis Coxinus discovers an incredible potion which brings his mechanical dolls to life. But instead of treating them nicely, he puts them to work, cleaning, mending and cooking for him! If they refuse, they must dance to the music of his magic fiddle until they are exhausted. Eventually one steals the fiddle and seeks her revenge. Madcap chaos ensues, until the story-teller intervenes with a little magic of his own.
The Amazing Magician is an original story ballet for children created by Queensland Ballet’s Artistic Director, François Klaus, as a humorous and educational introduction to ballet, music, and live theatre.
Adult, Conc & Child: $20
Family (2 Adults & up to 3 school-age Children): $70
Groups of 10 or more school-age children: $15
(one teacher free with every 10 school group tickets sold)
