Service- REALLY BAD!! Had a birthday party there. Even invited 20 guests.Thought they would appreciate a big crowd ( = huge profit). Nasty welcome- table was not ready even though it was booked for that time. Some guests were coming slightly later so we wanted to order first but restaurant owners didn't allow it! Yes, DID NOT allow- can you believe it? They even asked how late the others would come - if too late, they would give away our seats (there were only 3 ppl late) to other customers! How RUDE! I booked the place 2 weeks beforehand. So we had to wait for EVERYONE to come before we are ALLOWED to order. Food was a rip off. Too small portions and the side dishes were awful- even KFC had better coleslaw! $$ wise- NO VALUE. Tried to rip us off. We had an entertainment card which allowed $35 value discount. They tried a dodgy by discounting on the cheapest meal we had ie. $19! Lucky we saw the bill- made a fuss...they tried all sorts of excuses. But excuse me, we can read the terms and conditions. None of us are ever going back there. Highly recommend anyone else not to bother with this place. You can have a better bbq at your own place anytime anyday! :) …

I recently had the grave misfortune of picking HQ On Lytton for a rather expensive family dinner. I guess the only positive that came out of this experience is that my entire family and I now know to next time choose a restaurant that believes in providing decent food with some resemblance of customer service. The food was ill-timed and stone cold in most instances, although I’m not sure if being served on time or at an appropriate temperature would have been of any benefit as the dishes were unbearable. The customer service, or lack there of, especially when we notified the staff of our experience was a total disgrace and I would expect an establishment that relies on repeat business would be at least in some way concerned about this. …

Tara Thia has excellent food and great, attentive staff. What more can you ask for? It isn't pretentious, it's just great for a casual meal before a night out in the valley or for a quick lunch. …
