Rotary Fun Run for All at Queensland Uni

Brisbane Planetarium Rotary offers a morning of fun at their sixth Annual Fun Run, this year at University of Queensland, St Lucia, on Sunday 25 May 2008.

A shady course that starts in the UQ Athletics Stadium, follows the river until the turn-around at College Road and then returns to the Stadium for the finish. There will be three water tables with fruit available at the end.

This is a great morning as there is something for everybody, a team entry to compete within your Company or with another, or simply to have some fun with your friends; there is opportunity for families to enter and have fun together and there is the chance to prove yourself or just have fun as an individual.

Two distances, 5km and 10km are available to serious runners right down to social walkers and their families. The course runs alongside the beautiful Brisbane River.

Pre-Registration for individuals, families, under 17s and teams is available by filling in an entry form or online at www.rotaryfunrun.com.au. Registration will also be available on the day from 7:00am at the Athletics Stadium.

Over 1000 participants are expected for the official start at 8:05am.

Major beneficiary is The Wesley Hospital Kim Walter’s Choices Program. The Choices Program urgently need assistance from the community as they are assisting a growing group of men with breast cancer and women with breast and gynaecological cancers.
