Totally agree that the service is questionable. The service delivery is very masculine... I have been here many times and rarely seen a female waitress working. And it really bothered me to see the waiters turn on the charm for females but then when serving other men the best they can manage is a grunt. The arrogance unfortunately takes away from the delicious food. I have never found a margherita pizza as close to the real Italian deal as I have had here. Sadly though, every time I go back here, I remember the time I made the mistake of asking for a Corona. The owner screwed up his face and mocked my choice in beer... "We don't serve that here... We serve Peroni". The pricing is good for the location and quality of food and ingredients. The ambience is definitely not "Italian" but is in line with the modern designer decor and fitout that you would expect in Teneriffe. Oh - don't expect to book a table. They don't take bookings. …

I have never been disappointed at Beccofino's - food is always fantastic, service is always great...who cares if they are little bit brusque, they are efficient and who needs this fake politeness when you have to wait hours for a meal and all that sort of nonsense. I haven't been to Italy, but I've surely dined out alot in Melbourne and always found it hard to find a restaurant that competes up here. I definately recommend it to all! …

Had breakfast at Station 8 today (Queen's Birthday public holiday). Terrible experience. We were told there was a long wait on the food and there was. When it did arrive 45 minutes later, two of us received our food 10 minutes before the third person. Upon receiving our food, we were told they had run out of mushrooms and sausages but no substitution or free coffee or anything else was offered. Turkish bread was slimy with margarine and eggs overdone. Some wait staff were unpleasant and cranky. …
