Cafe La Famiglia, Upper Mt Gravatt

"Bellisimo"
This cafe is the best thing to hit Brisbane. The food is the real italian deal. I have eaten here several times. The chicken Involtini and the pasta with prawns and salmon are the best you will taste. The owners go out of their way to make your evening one to remember. Make sure you grab a coffee from Joise its one of the nicest coffees i've tasted. Most evenings you are greeted by the owner John how loves to sit and chat and have a good laugh while your eating. …

"Hidden Treasure"
We ate here last night I had the tortolini stuffed with roasted pumpkin in a sun dried tomato cream sauce and it was devine, better than the stuff I make. My husband had the veal funghi and said it was incredible. This is a tiny cafe hidden at the back of the New Coles complex and not only is the food fantastic, the small cafe atmosphere is superb, the service is wonderful. Each main course was about $22.00 We brought our own beer and wine. Try it and be surprised. …

Roma Restaurant Bar & Grill, Upper Mt Gravatt

"What a nice suprise......."
We recently dined at Roma again for a friends birthday, we haven't been there for at least 2 years due to horrendous issues we had on that visit. That withstanding our friends assured us the new management had made quite a few changes - & for the better, so we went along on a Saturday night for the return of the Seafood Buffet. We were firstly suprised by the change in attitude of the staff since our last visit, they were friendly & attentive & seemed genuinely pleased to see us. Next the food, the variety on the Buffet was a huge suprise to us, the amount of dishes for one thing as well as the quality. The seafood was said to be delivered daily & I am sure it was, a plus was a fact the prawns were from QLD not Thailand! Mains were hot & tasty, often cooked to order & the desserts, mostly homemade, were equally as delicious. Our daughter fell in love with the chocolate fountain & ice cream machine! At $38.95 we were delighted with the value the new management have instilled in the place, from the food & service to the roaming magician & live guitarist. We have already rebooked for my wifes birthday next month! - we're excited to be able to thoroughly recommend Roma again, its definately filled the gap in dining for this area! Go along & it give it a go! …
