I feel compelled to write a response to a review provided on Thursday, 29 May, 2008 by Msguided. I have worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 15 years and seems to me that a little mistake has been blown out of proportion. Working in the industry i enjoy nothing more than exploring other restaurants to see how they present their food, service and atmosphere. It is for this reason I can sometimes be harsher on places for providing a lower quality of the above mentioned items but at the same time have praise when I am delivered an A+ experience. In the example provided , the customers were overcharged, but to me that is an honest mistake. I have dined at cafe macchiato for many years and can make a very safe assumption that it would have been nothing more than an honest mistake.I find the that the staff bend over backwards to ensure that I have nothing but the best service, great food and a wonderful time. It's a real shame that the people who log on the web to "have their say" only ever do so, to have their negative response heard. Wouldn't it be great if more people gave a wrap to the establishments that delivered them an enjoyable evening - and thats what I am doing now. Cafe mach gets my thumbs up !!!!! …

I had dinner with my family at sage. I found the wait staff friendly and attentive. The food tasted great with excellent presentation and a variety of flavours. The additions sides were generous and the deserts fantastic (I'm not usually a desert fan) One family member has very specific food requirements which were no problem. Overall highly recommended …
