Last time I was in Perth, I sure wasn't there for long enough. However I did manage to check out the Belgian Beer Cafe.
Great atmosphere, nice private booths and drinking on the footpath is a good receipe for any beer hall - and the Belgian Bier always hits the spot.
Good location to meet people in the city too.

Sienna Marina is an Italian restaurant based at the front of the Woolloomooloo wharf. With the top-end restaurants that line the wharf - Sienna is informal and has a limited number of tables facing the city and is a great spot to dine just as the sun goes down.
I love the BBQ Chicken pizzas here - fantastic. Also in terms of value-for-money its great, with lunch deals for only $10 and with the Wireless Net - which every venue should wake up and have - I often find its great to stay connected whilst enjoying the winter sun.
Also Heiniken on tap - noice!

Home is probably one of the - if not, the most beautifully located and purpose designed nightclub in the world. Sitting right in the heart of Darling Harbour when your queueing up it's all about glam - nicely lit, great buzz for the night ahead. Come 5 o'clock in the morning, when the sun has come up and people are laying outside scattered around the boardwalk its not a classy sight - but between when you get in and leave is where it counts.
Fully overpriced - $8 for a beer! $4 for a sip of water! It's a bit tragic if you want to make your regular haunt - however for those special occasions it does the job. Built over several levels, there are often 3-4 rooms of tunes playing, the main room with a balcony overlooking the DJ booth, a balcony overlooking the harbour - a smaller room and then the upstairs deck which I confess to having never found.
The sound system rocks, it's full of tourists but most people are there for a good time. Home pulls the big acts - and gets the numbers at least you can be close as long as you don't mind it a bit sticky.
If you like a dance, and your in Sydney for one-night only then you should make the effort and tick it off the world club to-do list, and call it your home away from home - but there are many more intimate nights to be had, it's just knowing where to find them.

Cool - very impressed so far.
I love going out, eating out, drinking out, going to the arts, culture, sport, extreme adventure, comedy - and I'm gonna rate, write and offer an insight into some of the venues I love going to time and time again.

It's taken a while but finally the Stinga has made a home for itself in the Valley, and is great for a relaxed drink, shoot some pool or watch sport. In fact its the only place in the Valley to watch the big games, and also prices are good as is Becks on tap.
Go Amy! Go Becks!

Of all the years I've been going to the fam, I don't think I've ever had a bad night. From outside with friendly doorstaff - RARE!! to the second you get inside, it all seems to go seamlessly well. For Brisbane's biggest and best club the drink prices are reasonable ($6ish), and whenever I bring friends for the first time we always head up to the Ice Bar, to do some Ice-Shots - the glass is made of Ice funnilly enough - so you have to neck it before the vodka cracks it.
Actually my only complaint would be that the ice-machine occasionaly isn't working - similar to those Chocolate Milkshake Macca craving moments when the machine is off for no apparent reason, and it's not the same out of a glass.
However the club seems to continually stay on the edge - with a good friendly crowd and always a good line-up of local and International DJs, and pulls them on Friday & Saturday nights - not like the old left-over Wednesdays @ VIVA.
If you were to only to have one night in Brisbane make sure you end up here, and get in before the BS curfew!

Whether its your mum, your gf, or someone else and you need to spoil them - take them to Freestyle, and get in the good books.
You get desserts that you'll want to take a photo of, and you won't know where to start to eat them.
I'm a big fan of Emporium in general (apart from parking), but if you've gone for dinner somewhere - it's a great idea to sneak in the dessert at Freestyle - however watch out some nights we have rocked up and they've just been too busy. You have been warned!

When I first moved to Melbourne, Big Mouth was the first place I went to for lunch, and yeah it was good food - didn't blow my mind away. What they didn't tell me was how amazing upstairs is.
Perfect for warm-up drinks for a night out, or just stay there and groove. Drink prices are fantastic and the food is good too. You've got great perving angles onto Acland St, and nice retro chairs with a great decor.
Big fan of the Big Mouth!

Veludo is one of those amazingly versatile venues, where if I think about it, I've been there for Breakfast, I've been there for Lunch, I've been there for Dinner and after work drinks, I've left the place at 3am after a night out and may have even been sucked in for Speed Dating once (not twice!).
When I first checked out the menu, it was a bit of a What the? Half way down the menu you'll find the 'Big Fat Pommy Bastard Breakfast'...does that make you want to try it or what. Of course I finished it. It really does the job.
Veludo is also home to Dirty Laundry, so if they are around worth checking out!!

I haven't been to per tutti yet - but next time I'm in Melbourne it's on top of my to-do list.
So how can I write a review if I haven't been there?
Well its been recently acquired by friends of mine, and I know they have the passion to do a fantastic job. And when you are dealing with anyone who loves what they do - you can expect all those extra things which don't just come as standard.
So I suggest you go and write a review and proove me wrong? or was I right ?
