John Butler Trio

The APRIL UPRISING TOUR will see John and his new band mates Nicky Bomba (drums and percussion) and Byron Luiters (bass) bring their latest No 1 album release April Uprising alive on their home ground under the big Marquee on the beautiful southern lawns of the Arts Centre. This will be the first show of their largest national tour to date and follows their international performances around the world.
With their star rising globally with sold out shows in Central Park New York and Red Rocks in Colorado, the boys will bring it back home playing their hits One Way Road, Revolution, Close To You plus the classic songs from previous albums.
They will be joined by the rousing roots stars Blue King Brown to open the evening.

“At the end Luiters and Butler commandeered a cluster of floor-toms and with Bomba leading the way, they embarked on a tightly scripted and thrillingly thunderous percussion tattoo. As with everything else about the show it was a superb piece of musicianship, executed for the entertainment of the audience rather than the gratification of the musicians.”
