Please confirm the suitability of the venue before setting off, as my247 is not liable for any expenses or damages incurred by you as a result of information on this website .

Netiquette
My247 contains electronic bulletin boards, chat rooms, forms, e-mail addresses and other services which provide for feedback by users to my247 and its clients, real-time interaction between users, and other electronic messaging services. It is a condition of your use of any of these services, and your access to my247 that you do not do any of the following:

To use these service you must be, or have the permission of, the person responsible for paying the bills for the handset. Services will only be supplied to the handset that has requested them.

One-Off Services

“Save to my phone” Service
This service allows you to save details of a venue or event to your phone via SMS. Information supplied will be summarized to fit within the SMS format. The text you will receive can be viewed on the website before making your request.

You can request this service by sending the relevant codes found on my247 websites to 19 SMS 247 (19 767 247). You must ensure that you use the correct codes, failure to do so may result in you receiving the wrong information. If you do make an error you will still be charged for the request.

You will be charged AU$0.55 for each use of the “Save to my phone” service. This is charged through your mobile phone carrier's billing system. This covers the transmission of our message to your phone, and includes GST. The cost of your incoming message request is not covered by this service.


SMS Search service
This service allows you to find details of a venue by performing a search via SMS. If more than one venue is retrieved, you will be supplied Venue name, Phone Number for each listing retrieved. If too many results are found, you will receive a second SMS with the remainder. If the results will not fit within two SMS messages, you will need to perform a new, tighter search, which will incur further charges.
Note that my247 only lists selected lifestyle venues, focusing on Food, Drink & Entertainment – do not perform searches looking for plumbers, builders or mechanics! If your search does not return a result, we will let you know – you'll receive the message “no results were found for Venue Name, Suburb/City , please try again”. You will be charged for this service.

You can request this service by sending your search to 19 SMS 247 (19 767 247). You must ensure that you use the correct format, failure to do so may result in you receiving the wrong information. If you do make an error you will still be charged for the request. The correct format is “FIND Venue Name Suburb/City” e.g. “FIND Freestyle Brisbane”

You will be charged AU$0.55 for each use of the “SMS Search” service. This is charged through your mobile phone carrier's billing system. This covers the transmission of our message to your phone, and includes GST. The cost of your incoming message request is not covered by this service.


Subscription Services
Information Subscriptions
This service sends you information on a weekly basis (or more often if you select that option). There are a variety of topics you can choose to receive, including weather, happy hours (not available for Queensland venues), dining specials, gig listings etc.

You can request this service by sending the relevant codes found on my247 websites to 19 SMS 247 (19 767 247). You must ensure that you use the correct codes, failure to do so may result in you receiving the wrong information. If you do make an error you will still be charged for the subscription until it is cancelled.

To cancel a subscription service you simply send in the relevant codes found on the my247 website to 19 SMS 247 (19 767 247), or login and unsubscribe directly from the website. You must ensure that you use the correct codes, failure to do so may result in you continuing to receive the subscription. If you do make an error you will still be charged for the subscription until it is cancelled.

Full my247 Subscriptions
This service allows you live access to a slimmed-down version of my247 city sites. Most my247 information will be available, although some (menus, photos, etc) may not be suitable for your particular mobile device, and will therefore be unavailable.

You must ensure that you use the correct codes, failure to do so may result in you receiving the wrong information. If you do make an error you will still be charged for the subscription until it is cancelled.
