Sidney (Simon Pegg) is a journalist who is hired by editor Clayton Harding (Jeff Bridges) to work for Sharps magazine. Starting with grand plans to expose modern celebrity culture, he soon finds himself working on fluff pieces with writer Alison Olsen (Kirsten Dunst).
