Gunning For It!! @ Shogun Japanese Karaoke Restaurant

Having settled on the Gold Coast, finding decent eateries was on the 'menu'. The Shogun came to our attention, so with wallet in hand we set off in intrepidation for our culanary feast to come. Wow! we were not disappointed. Good service, good menu & good food all reasonably priced. We've have friends over from the old lands & always make a point to visit The Shogun for a fun filled night out with great dining. Always wise to book in advance as it's popularity outdoes itself!

I am a local and treated some sydney friends to what i have in the past thought was an excellent restaurant. 3 different choices were asked for off the menu and were told none of them were available at 6.30pm, rather early to have run out of food i thought, when asked the waiter if they were having a problem, he was very rude and walked off while my friend was still talking to him taking with him our wine and bucket.
spruiker at door was awful, loud abnoxious. It certainly would have put me off if I hadnt been there before.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and decided on a small japanese "cafe" (not a restaurant). Being just a cafe we decided to go and sit in a spare table. We were approached by a waitress and asked to move as the table was reserved. (No sign mind you) She told us that we have to sit outside and we got the feeling they did not want us there. (even though my hubby is asian). The waitress then bought out the menu to us where we were seated on the "footpath!". My hubby wanted to leave but we thought we had a seat now might as well stay. Then the waitress came back and told us once again that we would have to move as this table was now RESERVED!!!??. Well that was enough and we decided that we were worth better service so we told her our thoughts and left. Hubby then called the owner of the business on our way to another restaurant and the owner claims that it was because his staff cannot speak english. Can I tell you that she understood very well when we told her of our discontent over our service. STEER CLEAR!! try Shogun's Teppanyaki instead at Arundel.... great dinner and show... great service...

Really disappointed ....disgusted...we were visiting from Europe and wanted ethnic indian food. the tandoori chicken tasted microwawed. We had the curry marks on our fingers for a few days after ...a lot of artificial color i guess. ...not happy

times change @ Bearded Dragon

We used to go fairly regularly to the dragon and have fun, but feel over the last few years it has lost something of its community feel and fun spirit.

Quite expensive too. Have not yet understood the building in the middle of the seating area.

We tend to go elsewhere now.

Wow, we had the most fantastic meal. I wish they were here in Wanganui, NZ...We had our 3 young girls with us and the staff were amazing and the meal was divine. Service was A+. Highly recommended and second to none!

Very bad service @ Sunset Strip

when I called in for help. They were not very nice about it. And before helping me they were very disrespectful and hang up on me.Very inconvenient hotel services as well. I loathed my trip.
