The Ruby Tramp presents...
+++++ Elmo Is Dead +++++
plus The Down n Dirty Djs
Since adopting the whimsical "Elmo is Dead" monkier last year Chris Emerson's musical career has gone from strength to strength. 2009 saw him appearing as a main suppport for international heavyweights including Steve Aoki & Boys Noize. His first forays into production, including a few bootlegs and a Pon de floor remix we played across the country at some of Australias biggest music festivals, and at only age 20. Elmo is dead was one of the youngest acts to take the stage at the Stereosinic festical in Sydney.
Developing a taste for music at a very young age, Chris learnt that a life wihtout music wasn't a life at all. With an innate sense of rhythm and musicality derived mostly from years of drumming in an indie rock band Elmo's style (and pin up boy looks) have made him popular all over the Sydney night scene.
Like the pide piper of Hamlin, Elmo has been known to put people in trances with his tunes, and kept them on the dance floor gyrating all night long.
