Tantalising Turkish at Zafron @ Zafron on Brunswick
| Reservation Required | Perfect for a Romantic Evening | Great with a large group |
We made a last minute decision to go out for dinner on the the Queen's Birthday holiday and were very happy to decide on Zafron on Brunswick. THey have a special 4 course menu for $29 Mon - Thu but decided to pass on that and sampled the a la carte menu instead. Had a Mediterranean dip platter which had 3 dips, lavash chips and very nice turkish bread. Dips came in a hommus, sun dried tomato/pesto and baba ganush. For mains we had the Special Kebab (cannot remember the name) and the Koresht Shirazi a melt in your mouth lamb stew with the best flavours. Service was average but food was well worth it. Definitely coming back again for more!

Isis shines @ ISIS Brasserie
| Reservation Required | Perfect for a Romantic Evening | Good for a romantic drink |
| Great with a large group | Bad place to meet people | Bad for watching sport |
My partner & I had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Isis. While it was a set course menu with 4 courses, there was a range to choose from each course and the food was just devine. The service was top class, attentive but not obtrusive and the tables were also not crammed in together. All in all a fabulous dining experience.

Great find - Food & Soul @ Food & Soul 1 Restaurant
| Reservation Required | Good Wheelchair access | Perfect for a Romantic Evening |
| Good for Business Lunches | Bad with a large group |
What a gem this little restaurant is - tucked away in Auchenflower, discovered it through this website. We went there Friday evening and had really nice time. Food was of very high quality and was well presented. Staff were very attentive (regularly re-filling water glasses without being asked) without being overly intrusive. We had a pumpkin & cashew wanton entree which was in a nice and light saffron infused yoghurt based sauce - great combination of flavours. For mains, had a medium rare veal with bugs and gnocchi with mushroom, crabmeat, leeks & parmeson. The veal was the best I have had in a long while - finally someone that knows how to cook veal!! Will definitely be back again. Thanks to the great chefs!

Yummy Yum Cha @ Landmark
| Bad Wheelchair access | Great with babies | Great with kids |
| Bad for a Romantic Evening | Good for Business Lunches | Great with a large group |
Had the best yum cha in Brisbane recently at Landmark. Crowded as ever - we had previously booked but that does not help, you still have to queue and wait for table (20 minute wait) but was so worth it. Between the 6 of us, we got to sample lots of different dishes. Their traditional steamed prawn har gows were the best - really fresh and tasty, nice pork buns, rice flour rolls with pork, everything was just superb, and all had different flavourings which made things interesting. Also, was a very reasonably priced meal considering the amount we had.

Overpriced restaurants
What is with restaurants that charge a fortune and serve up the tiniest portions??? How can one justify charging over $30 for 6 pieces of ravioli. Ok so the ravioli was probably fresh made, it was filled with crab, but be serious, each piece was filled with no more than a thumb nail sized portion of crab meat. Not happy

Vue is tops @ Vue Lounge
| Reservation Not Required | Good Wheelchair access | Great with babies |
| Great with kids | Perfect for a Romantic Evening | Great with a large group |
| Great for Business Lunches |
Group of 4 of us decided to wander into Merthyr Village for bite to eat & found Vue - what a great little place this is. The staff are the most friendly, attentive and helpful - would rival some of the more expensive so called silver service restaurants around town. Food was also just perfect. The dishes we all had were omelette with smoked salmon, asparagus & rocket; open grilled sandwich with bacon, egg, chicken; vege pizza and chicken wrap. Even though it was quite busy, all the staff were amazing. In particular, we all watched how the staff were so helpful and patient with 1 fairly elderly customer. Well done Vue - definitely will be back again

Fantastic dining @ Aria @ Aria GC Wine Bar & Restaurant
| Reservation Required | Good place to meet people |
My partner & I were at Broadbeach to catch the Zingara show at the Conrad Jupiters Casino and decided to wander around and found the nicest little restaurant in Broadbeach - Aria GC. The food was divine and service was pretty good too. We shared oysters and duckfilled springrolls for entrees and everything was just really fresh and tasty. My partner had a lamb rack on a risotto and the lamb was super tender and cooked perfect. My dish was a laksa with moreton bay bugs and vietnamese lime and chinese kai lan - the laksa was just like home and the bugs added a nice twist to it. Really enjoyed the meal. Because we ran out of time, did not stay for dessert but the dessert menu looked pretty good too - definitely going back again

Great food @ Restaurant Two
| Reservation Required | Great with kids | Perfect for a Romantic Evening |
| Good for Business Lunches | Great with a large group |
Recently had the most fantastic lunch at Restaurant Two. It was my first vist there and the food was totally brilliant. Had a tempura soft shell crab for entree which was done in light tempura batter with tasty soft shell crab and for mains had a perfectly done grilled barramundi. It was interesting because I had a grilled barramundi a couple of weeks before at Kingsleys and the one at Restaurant Two won my vote hands down. Great food, great service, could not ask for more.

Super sashimi - Mizu @ Mizu Japanese Restaurant
| Reservation Required | Good Wheelchair access | Bad with kids |
| Bad for a Romantic Evening | Good for Business Lunches | Great with a large group |
Love dropping in to Mizu as they always have really fresh sashimi. They also always have a specials board serving slightly different but always interesting dishes. While not cheap, always a decent meal to be had. Try a gen-mai cha (japanese green tea with roasted rice) to wash meal down with. Oh and the staff are always really polite and friendly
