Purveyors of enigmatic, spicy jazz dance – IGNITE THE DARK proudly bring you The Pleasure Principle; a high octane dance experience about the search for pleasure, no matter the risks. Art and performance exist for pleasure. Indulge the pleasure principle… it will leave you begging for more.

IGNITE THE DARK showcases a company with some of Melbourne’s finest dancers, and features the innovative jazz choreography of Alfie Scalia and Daniel Ryan (who directed and choreographed the 2011 sell-out season The Earth, The Sea & The Moon). IGNITE THE DARK work with a focus on lifting the profile of Melbourne’s vibrant and world-class jazz dance culture. They strive to offer Melbourne audiences entertaining, narrative driven performances, through highly stylized and soulful work.
