Reviews:
"For its young male target market, there's an edgy dark side to the film beyond the splashy visual effects that result from ordinary boys acquiring superpowers" - Urbancinefile.com.au
"Trank, working from a taut script by Max "Son of John" Landis, indulges in some wild, witty spectacle, but he's equally adept with the tale's grimmer elements" - Time Out New York
"It isn't wholly original but it does brim with emotion, imagination and modern implication. Take that, Bats" - Total Film
