The Sandbar, part of local surf club, it's regulars are the more senoir population of coolum. Food is usually good, however I do not recommend steak as 2 out of 3 times the meat quality and cooking has not been very good. However the pasta dishes prove to be delicous and not too heavy. The breads are almost always worth it. The bar is seperate and as a self service system does offer drinks quickly and for a reasonable price (if your a member they are a little cheaper). My one large complaint is quality of service, even though it is not table service. Waitresses continously walk past you without even checking up on meals or clearing. To order there is one line, on a busy night you can be standing for some time. Overall nice to go with family and watch the view. Reservation required for a good table. …
