We normally have lunch at Sugar & Spice (being locals) and have enjoyed the service & food. We today took friends from Sydney there for breakfast and it was embarrassing. Their food order was incorrect, the coffee was ordered in mugs and came in cups luke warm and all the meals came out individually at different times. We received additional coffees hot in cups when we pointed out an error but the service dropped due to our concerns being expressed about the food and coffee orders. It was not busy and seemed, from our past experiences, to be out of character. However, for us trying to impress interstate visitors at our "local", it was very disappointing with no apologies afforded. Our rating is on today's experience. …

We are regulars to the Sunshine Coast and ate for the first time at hot pipis at Christmas time. In summary: One steak was cold and frankly inedible. Two orders of soft shell crabs were soggy and cold in the middle. Obviously prepapared and frozen - disgusting. We received a beer that was luke warm. Apart from the food, the service was disappointing and unattentive. We refilled our own wine glasses and waited 20 minutes to get more water on the table. Simply, with so many eateries in Mooloolaba, I wont be back to hot pipis. High end price, low end experience. …
