MONICA TRAPAGA & ENCORE Jazz, Musical Theatre and Opera! What a night! Not to be missed! And all under one roof. The New Cosmopolitan Piano Bar in Double Bay THIS EVENT WILL SELL OUT !

She enjoyed monumental success with in the early 90's with "Monica and the Moochers'" critically acclaimed album releases "Too Darn Hot" and "Cotton On The Breeze". In 2003 she independently released, "Girl Talk", recorded by her 5 piece, "Monica Trapaga and the Bachelor Pad".

"SUGAR" is her latest cd release. It features her favourite collection of 1920s & 1930s tunes, performed by Australia's leading Jazz musicians, Bob Barnard, David Seidel, Peter Locke, Andrew Dickeson, Paul Furniss & David Blenkhorn, and is available through La Brava Music and MGM Distribution.

Monica's current bands include "Monica Trapaga & The Bachelor Pad" (5 piece lounge jazz), "Monica Trapaga & The Sugar Daddies" (7 piece Cotton Club jazz), "Monica and the Moochers" (8 Piece swing jazz), "Monica & The Mucho Mambo Orchestra" (14 piece traditional Cuban big band). She also appears as a guest performer with "John Morrison's Swing City" (big band), "The B Big Band", "Ed Wilson's Big Band" and "The John Field Band", as well as other high profile artists including James Morrison and Judy Bailey.

Monica is looking forward to returning to Double Bay.

ENCORE, Australias most successful cross-over vocal group, will appear with Monica Trapaga for the very first time. This is sure to be a stunning show that should not be missed! ENCORE has been thrilling audiences across Australian and internationally in recent years and is always in heavy demand to return to Sydney.

ENCORE vocal group is taking the world by storm, with their repertoire of opera, musical theatre, pop and jazz. Following the performance at Cosmopolitan Piano Bar , they will be touring Japan, with other countries to follow. ENCORE performed at World Youth Day in 2008 to a staggering 150,000 people, with national sell-out tours and international corporate gigs throughout 2007-2009. In 2009 they released their second album Il Destino. ENCORE is also set to record their third album, with original songs by Nathan Leigh Jones.

ENCORE consists of award winning singers: Soprano Clarissa Spata (Opera Australia, Finalist for Covent Garden, Italian Opera and New York Opera Awards; Jazz singer Eva Spata (The Basement, Young Achiever of the Year Award); Baritone Javier Vilarino (The Helpmann Awards); and introducing in the Tenor role for the evening Andrew Conaghan (Guys & Dolls, Jekyll & Hyde).
