Young at Heart
Young at Heart, the film festival programmed for cinema lovers aged 60+, is back at Dendy Opera Quays from March 22 to 25, with tickets priced from $6 for seniors.
This year features eleven premieres across the full programme – including Oscar 2012 nominee Footnote, Oscar 2011 nominee The Illusionist, and Cannes winners Le Havre and Le Quattro Volte – as well as three 1972 classics: Cabaret; Frenzy; and Travels with my Aunt. A mix of drama, comedy, documentary and animation from around the world, the festival programme also features the Young at Heart Short Film Awards, recognising the best new Australian short films starring seasoned actors aged 60+. In addition to the 13 screenings at Dendy Opera Quays, Young at Heart also features five screenings at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, Western Sydney, and screenings of the Young at Heart Short Film Awards nominees at more than 25 venues around regional NSW.
