Finally, after a 5 years wait, the indie scene graduates and rock and soul gang from Louisville, Kentucky, MY MORNING JACKET, will be in the spot light for their defining moments in Australia at 2 very select dates in Sydney and Melbourne in January 2009.
Out here for the Big Day Out tour, and having already secured the opening slot for the sold out Neil Young shows, the band will present the epic AN EVENING WITH MY MORNING JACKET at The Metro in Sydney, and Billboard in Melbourne.
AN EVENING WITH MY MORNING JACKET sees the band play 2 sets and on stage for close to 3 hours. They will draw from their vast repertoire from their debut ‘The Tennessee Fire’, through to this year's acclaimed ‘Evil Urges’.
2009 has seen the band hit the big time on the live circuit with legendary performances at Coachella, Radio City Music Hall and Bonnaroo festivals in the USA. As last year's live album and film, ‘Okonokos’ testifies, this band is as good as gets live. Their power, emotion and intensity within their ever evolving musical styles sets them apart form all comers on any stage.
