A dance & martial arts spectacular

The Wind of Shaolin is an epic dance drama that tells the poignant story of star-crossed lovers Tian Yuan and Su Shui, separated during war. Set amidst the breathtaking scenery of rural China, the performance boasts stage sets that encompass stunning reproductions of the Shaolin Temple.

Tian Yuan and his lover Su Shui are caught in an invasion; desperate to save Su Shui, Tian Yuan is seriously wounded and his life is in mortal danger when he is saved by Master Hui Shan, the abbot of Shaolin Temple. Although badly injured in the war, Tian Yuan is nursed back to health by the monks of Shaolin Temple.

Upon returning to the city from Shaolin Temple, Tian Yuan inds Su Shui and they are reunited. Cruelly, the couple encounter evil invaders again all too soon. Still recovering from his wounds, Tian Yuan is weak and attempts to protect Su Shui. In order to save Tian Yuan, Su Sushi submits herself to capture by the enemy and is taken away to a foreign land.

Devastated by the loss of his love once more and incensed by grief, Tian Yuan returns to Shaolin Temple in search of Master Hui Shan. Driven by love, loss and thoughts of vengeance, Tian Yuan submits himself to a fanatical study of Shaolin martial arts. Practicing hard and continuously through winter and summer, Tian Yuan gradually masters the art of Kung Fu.

Several years later the evil enemy again invades the city. Worried, Su Shui does her best to stop them; running ahead she attempts to warn the city. Passing Shaolin Temple on her way she encounters her old lover, Tian Yuan. Reunited in love, the couple attempt to stop the enemy invading the city, however, Su Shui is tragically killed.

Enraged, Tian Yuan leads the monks in a battle against the enemy. Dedicating himself to the martial arts, Tian Yuan comes to realise the truth of the world and life. The Wind of Shaolin embodies a struggle between evil and justice; the performance is a revelation of the battles of life. Depicted through a combination of martial arts, acrobatics and classical dance, The Wind of Shaolin is a stunning production that transports audiences on a journey of love and loss.
