It’s Summer – and the East High Wildcats are on vacation! It’s Gabriella’s first summer ever in one place and she wants it to be a special summer with Troy.

Troy wants the summer to be special too and wants to spend it with Gabriella, but he also needs to earn money for college next year.

However, Sharpay Evans, the self-proclaimed primo girl of East High, has her eye set on the Wildcats’ primo-boy Troy. Knowing that Troy needs money, she tells the manager of the Lava Springs Country Club, which is owned by her parents, to offer Troy a job – whatever it takes!

When Sharpay makes plans, nothing and no-one is going to get in her way . . . or so she thinks!
