"potential and let down"

We went and had a midweek curry at Blu Ginger, and what turned out to be a nice meal turned into a farce. The venue is presentable and we had a very friendly waiter, and as a curry lover there was a nice range of dishes to choose from. The Onion Bahji's for the entree were great, and the Naan was done to perfection. The dishes were full of flavour and exactly why I love curry. What was surprising was that 3 dishes came out just for the two of us. We pointed out the error, and the waiter came back and said it was on the house. As the dishes were quite large in size we'd have never fitter 3 in anyway, but still we continued. When the bill came the 'extra' dish we didn't order was on the bill. The waiter informing us that the manager wasn't there and he needed authorisation to remove it. He then explained that if we paid for it and gave our details he would get a credit for our next visit. I am not sure of where this level of service fits in. Paying for something I don't order is not in my vocab, and I explained that this would not happen. A shame to a nice night and good food. …
