Over 200 children from three of Australia’s leading choirs combine to lift your Christmas spirits this December with Voices of Angels, a concert of enchanting songs and carols to celebrate the magic of the festive season.
Conducted by Lyn Williams OAM, hosted by 702 ABC Sydney’s James Valentine and accompanied by a chamber orchestra, Sydney Children’s Choir, Gondwana Voices and the newly-formed Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir will perform a mix of festive favourites and fresh Australian music, including a new work by the Sydney Children’s Choir’s 2008 Composer in Residence, Joseph Twist. Australia’s recorder virtuoso and ARIA award winner, Genevieve Lacey, will join with the choir as special guest soloist.

Tree The Christmas fun continues at Darling Harbour with Sydney’s finest a cappella groups performing traditional carols live by the tree from 7pm – 9pm throughout December. Christmas revellers can delight in the festive sounds of Heartbeat, Sway, Blindman’s Holiday, Ninety Nine & a Half, Blues Point, Sorelle and Kaya at the Convention Centre Forecourt.
Carols by the Tree starts Thursday 4 December and continues every Thursday to Sunday in December with a special Christmas Eve performance on Wednesday 24 December.
