See the exhibition based on Beverly Donald’s popular book, Hargrave Park? Never Heard of it. Find out about the colourful history of a long forgotten suburb which used to be in the arwick Farm area. The story starts with five Irish rebels who came to Sydney as exiles in 1806 to settle along Cabramatta Creek. Later the suburb became a bustling leisure spot with the establishment of Hargrave Air Park. World War II saw a US army base move in as well as the British Golden Hind Royal Naval Depot. Sad, funny and sentimental memories of the 1950s are brought to light in recounting the emergency housing settlements that later became Warwick Farm.
