To coincide with the release of diesel’s brand new album ‘Days Like These’, the master guitarist is set to embark on a comprehensive album tour with his band. Commencing October 3rd in Adelaide, the tour will span the width of the nation. The powerhouse trio will deliver and an all-encompassing diesel experience as they showcase their new material in a fresh and exciting new live format - divided into three distinct segments, the 2-hour non-stop set will be unlike anything Diesel and his band have done before. Tracks from the newly launched ‘Days Like These’ (which debuted in the top ten of the Australian iTunes chart this week) will open the show and demonstrate that even after eight albums, diesel’s artistic progression doesn’t appear to be letting up. Already being lauded in the media for the welcome return to his rock ‘n’ blues roots, the new album has been described by Neala Johnson from the Melbourne Herald-Sun in three words: “Simple. Classic. Strong.” There’s a freedom about Days Like These, an immediacy that stems from its casual creation. “It was just the three of us,” says diesel. “Myself, Richie Vez on bass and Lee Moloney on drums. “It’s a new spin on old ground,” describes diesel. Next up in the live show will be ‘diesel lounge-by-request’, an interactive segment where the audience formulates that section of the set list. Lastly, a segment aptly titled ‘diesel electric rewind’ will close the show. The band will blast through the rich diesel catalogue; the very same material that won him a string of Awards and accolades over the past twenty years.
