Wollongong City Gallery is one of the largest regional art museums in Australia, with a major collection of the art of the Illawarra, contemporary Australian, Aboriginal and Asian art.

Australia's Industry World (AIW) is home to one of the largest concentrations of manufacturing industry in Australia. Public Tours of the Port Kembla Steelworks are available most Wednesday and Friday mornings (bookings essential).

IPAC is located in central Wollongong and hosts three performance spaces.
